
Print this page and use it to configure your AutoCAD 14 - Windows to make .PLT files for Doo'ps.
1. Launch AutoCAD 14.
2. At the Command Prompt, type CONFIG.
3. Select New (to enter a new plotter configuration).
4. Choose Hewlett Packard HPGL/2 Devices - ADI 4.3 - for AutoDesk.
5. Add Description for Plotter: Enter SBCB.
6. From the Supported Models Menu, choose HP 650 C.
7. Choose Defaults until you reach, "Do you want to chsnge anything?" YES.
8. Again, "Do you want to change anything?"
- Answer NO. (Only answer YES if pen color does not match pen number, then change accordingly.)
9. Choose Defaults until you reach:
10. "Write the plot to a file?" YES.
11. Choose Defaults until you reach the end.
12. Click OK to Save.
- When generating a plot file be sure to select the SBCB Plotter Set-Up and then change the plotting parameters as normal.
- If you are plotting EXTENTS, make sure that you perform a ZOOM EXTENTS prior to creating the .PLT file to ensure AutoCAD updates the extents.
- Failing to ensure that the Pen Numbers are equal to the Entity Colors will produce strange line thicknesses and will result in wasted chargable output.
- You should always do a Partial Preview in the Plot Window to verfify the DWG size, and then do a Full Preview to verify the plot looks correct.
